You need to use a backend server like SQL Server or Oracle, and then access the data using any of a number of mechanisms provided in VFP such as SQL PassThrough or Remote Views. You might also explore using ADO recordsets; you'll want to grab the VFPCOM download from msdn.microsoft.com/vfoxpro/downloads
