Many ways to do this. I use a user table that stores

username
password (stored encrypted)
user full name
security levels (stored encrypted)
site restrictions (stored encrypted)
color scheme preferred
foxuser file name
default printer port
default modem port
preferred toolbar location
preferred toolbar components
email address

etc.

You get the idea

All my apps start with a log on screen where the username and password is
entered. The app then sets up just like each user wants based on data
stored in the user table.
