A few things come to mind:

(1) Switch backend to SQL Server

(2) Create a COM server acessed via DCOM that runs queries against VFP database and converts output to ADO recordset. Then marshall the recordset back to the client.

(3) Look up Les Pinter's Web site on web. In one of his articles he explains how to do this with VFP.
