My form traps the PGDN key and sets the focus either to a command button (if focus is on another control) or to the first control on the form if focus is already on a command button. Works OK.

However, if I'm in another form and need to call that first form up in order to add a record on the fly, the setfocus then falls over because we are running it from within the valid clause of the calling form. This much I understand.

Trouble is I don't know what alternatives there are - if any - to get round vfp's refusal to allow the setfocus call in these circumstances.

Is there one?
