UT Folks,

Q? Under what conditions - in a standard one-to-many form (Parent Data in character fields on PageFrame on top of Form - and Child Data in Page Frame in Grid on Bottom of Form) could a Child record appear directly below the Child Record you are adding (temporarily).

This Phantom record can be clicked on in the Grid - Tab Between fields of this record on the Grid - and even values changed - however!

As soon as you save your changes (ie: equivalent to a TableUpdate(.T.,.T.) ) - the Phantom record disappears - and the row below you on the Grid is no longer holding a record? Your current record is fine - and all is well until you add the next Child Record.

You may assume:
0. VFP 6 (sp3)
1. All Indexes are correct and viable
2. Parent is Row Buffering - Optimistic
3. Child is Table Buffering (5) - Optimistic
4. Grid and Table Relations are correct.
5. Executable is on Client - Data is on Share on NT Server - Paths are
correct

Know Issues:
1. Only occurs when in Multi User Mode. Application never exhibits this when in Standalone Mode.
2. Phantom Record appears to be from other users (Other Instances of
Application open on other clients pc) Child Records - randomly selected.

Very Strange - and completely unacceptable for client

Any Ideas - Ever Seen this before?
