They had this programmer here at this hospital who wrote stuff in Clipper for some of the die-hard Wordperfect users - not really sure what the connection was, there. He showed me a cool parsing function which with very little modification I adapted to a FoxPro 2.5 DOS routine. He was nice in that he didn't look down his nose at me because I was *only* a nurse.
Actually, it was in a hospital setting that I was introduced to FoxPro 1.02 by this IS guy who saw this MS Works macro I had written... and told me I needed to learn how to program. So he gave me a copy of Pascal, to learn proper programming technique. Finally got a copy of FoxPro 1.02 and then the confusion began. Been having a ball ever since.
