However, what you *can* do is to set the Registry values you'd like and then force a restart of your app. I have an application that checks the amount of local disk space every time VFP starts and then does a quick check of the registry. If the local disk space isn't what I'd like then I have a backup network directory that I use. This way my program can dynamically respond to each user's environment.

For example, if someone downloads a large file from the Internet and as a result there's less local space than I'd want the very next time they start the app it'll redirect to the network.

Remember, you can stash just about anything you'd like in the Registry. I've foresworn INI & CONFIG.FPW files unless I absolutely have to use them.
