If I'm not a Computer Science graduate, then the tens of thousnads of dollars I (and my parents) spent on my college education, not to mention the four years of my life (1986 - 1990), were all a bad dream, and I might as well use my diploma as toilet paper.
Granted, I never actually used FoxPro in college, but I did learn the basics of software design, programming and data structures, and the concept of a start-to-finish, proposal-to-delivery-and-support project. I was first exposed to the xBase language through my database class, which used dBase III+, in 1989. Form then on, I've been using dBase, clipper, FoxBase, FoxPro, and now Visual FoxPro.
Saying that FoxPro programmers are not CS graduates is like saying that CPAs are not Accounting graduates. You don't absolutely need a degree, but it sure as hell helps if you do.
