Virusim,

>I like to know whether CR work exactly like VFP report designer ?

Well CR works in a simular way as the VFP report writer. Of you spend a few hours to play with it, you 'll find that it is not difficult to make reports with it.

>Can I just do complex manipulation or calculation from my data file
directly and get my report out without having to go through
many steps ?

Yep, you can. There are however some thing to take care of.
- Create an interface between VFP and CR to display and print the CR reports.
- Use FOX2x data files in your reports

Tips:
- Use the automation approach (see developer.hlp)
- use the FOXHWND control to display the preview
- Search the CR knowledgebase if you need help or place a message here on the UT

>What is the greatest gain of CR over VFP report designer ?

I would say there are serveral advantages:
- Export reports to several formats (word, RTF, Excell, HTML)
- Advanced internet capabilities.
- Preview Window 25% - 400% zoom
- Better control ever printersetings.

Succes,

Walter,
