OK gang,
I've made the leap to learn SQL Server 7 - the hard way, with a couple of books and trial and error. I'm new at it, so please be patient. I'll try to keep my questions to 2 or 3 a day :-)
First few questions:
1) No matter what I set "fetchsize" or "fetchasneeded" or 'Set Odometer' to, my views seem to ALWAYS pull data back across 100 records at a time when opening/requerying the views. this is based on observing the status bar 'pulling' the records and counting. What am I missing here?
2) Along the same lines, is there a way to control the "fetchsize" when using SQL Pass Through?
3) What is the best/correct way to implement a loop for asynchronous execution of a SPT Select? If I don't put a DOEVENTS in the loop, I have no way to cancel the select with a button, If I do put it in the loop, it seems to really slow down the data pull. IDeas?
Thanks a TON!
