John,
I absolutely agree that the topics you are suggesting are critical. However, the VFP within the enterprise topic is the only one I could see at a Devcon. When I need to investigate some consultancy issues, I would expect to find some good advice at my local Chamber of Commerce, as well as other local business groups.
The consulting work I do/have done is in environments where VFP is entrenched. You are correct in that folks who consult in the corporate arena are in some respects fighting an unarmed battle since there just isn't any VFP type material that can be handed out. It would be nice to see some marketing type sessions.

>Did everyone ('99 attendees) get the DevCon survey notice from Advisor via email? I got it and filled it out. Several of the questions have to do with topics. I suggested in the form that there be a session or multiple "mini-sessions" on VFP within enterprise consulting and/or general consultancy issues.
