If what you are trying to learn is how to create and use COM srevers from VFP, then there is not very much to know. Carefully reading the VFP documentation, and just experimenting a little bit, asking a few questions here will get you going quickly.

If you are looking for an advanced book on he inner workings of COM or the behavior of COM objects in MTS or IIS, then there are lots of books out there tat cover this. "Inside COM" from Microsoft press covers the nitty gritty details of COM implementation, but I think you will find most of the advanced to the point of being useless to you (you don't need to know all about interface inheritance).

Once you understand that a COM server is just a class that can be accessed from other platforms, the rest comes easy.
