Hi Wayne,
I work with Steve Marin and the application to which he posted a message concerning index corruption to this area is my responsibility. A quick summary of your experience with this problem would be extremely helpful. Our problems relating to the current FPW 2.6 app and it's predecessor a FPD 2.6 app seem to correlate to the introduction of windows 95 and client 32.
It would be very helpful to know which version (or range of versions) of client 32 you were using, when the problems occurred, and your incidence numbers with Novell and Microsoft. We are planning on opening an incident with Novell at least, hoping Novell may have fixed this. We had a very solid hit on their knowledge base which stated that "write cache" and "cache level" settings on the client 32 cause index corruption when rebuilding under VFP 5. The article indicates that disabling write caching will solve this problem
I am interested in any similar experiences with index and/or other data corruption in a netware environment.
Please if you post here, also e-mail me directly at

Thank you,
