>What is the most elegant way to allow the user to enter data into a memo field. If I add a TextBox control and assign ControlSource to a memo filed, the user has to click on the "memo" in the textbox and then know how to exit the memo field. If I set the control source to a long character field, they can't use line returns or do any formatting.

An EditBox will allow you to enter data without having to clieck and open; if you need formatting and are willing to put up with the necessary headaches trying to transport formatting into reports built with VFP's report writer, you might look at using the RichTextBox ActiveX control.
