Our server has a RAID 5 array. Whoever set it up (it was not me!) partitioned only 400 megs for C:, while D: has 7.6 gigs, of which only about 400 meg is currently used. The NT system is of course on C:.

C: is now very crowded. When I took over the server it had only a few megs of free space. I moved the swap file to D to get some room, but the array really needs to be re-partitioned. I'm afraid to load the latest NT service packs because there's so little room on C:\.

Can I re-partition the array using something Partition Magic without damaging my SQL data? Or must I take it down to the bare metal, re-install the software, and restore the data?
