Hi Ken,

thought I remembered you from my futile attempts at vpm!

>This is a VPM problem, at least up to Version 6.0, and maybe afterward. Because of VPM's READ EVENTS and the fact that you are in their compiled app, and not in VFP itself, many of the features of VFP's IDE are not available. "VPM giveth, and VPM taketh away." One of the things that eventually drove me away from VPM.

you might be right but for the wrong reason! I know the vpm behaviour and its one of many reasons I dropped it. The only reason I still have it installed is because I have created a single project with it which needs occasional maintenance. However, other than for that project - which entails about once a month - I never use it. So the behaviour I'm describing is pure vfp behaviour.

Unless, that is, you are suggesting that merely having vpm installed might be enough to "infect" vfp...

Still desperate!

Harry
