>Here is what I was actually hoping to do (starting my story at the beginning): I would like to let a user create a letter(s) in Word Perfect (what we use here), then save these files in RTF format. I created a test form incorporating a Rich Text Control so I could see it, then store it in a memo field. This worked fine to this point. Then I wanted to use the memo field (which by this time incorporated all the RTF codes from the original file), and some standard name, address stuff from other tables to create a form letter. I did this using the native VFP report writer and of course everything that was in the memo field printed out as is instead of what I wanted. That's where I found your message and was hoping CR 6 could solve my problem, i.e. will print out the contents of the memo field in an RTF fashion, instead of verbatim.

Nope, CR won't do that for you. You can have the user create the letter in Word Imperfect, then use Automation to drive the printing of the letter. The latest version supports VBA.
