Thanks guys! I think I figured this out myself this morning and I am still not comfortable with it in my mind. I guess I think that since the grid in on another page and is not visible it cannot be active and cause all this trouble.
A problem is a problem only as long as it has a possible solution. Lacking that, it becomes a FACT!
