Best that I can recall (trying to revive a few brain cells here) I had to use Excel 4.0 to record the VB scripts to be used for DDE. There were major changes from version 4.0 to 5.0 in the script syntax, I guess that was when Excel started supporting OLE. That worked for me using DDE to Excel 5.0. I have not tried any DDE to Excel on releases after 5.0 since my apps had been upgraded to VFPand the DDE stuff was dropped.
