Do you mean that you want to reference the SQL Server that's not running on your computer? If so, just specify the name of the server in the server combo box that ODBC provides. With the version of the SQL Server ODBC driver that I'm running, it's on the first page of the Microsoft SQL Server DSN Configuration wizard that appears when you press Configure in the ODBC Admin applet in the Control Panel.
