>Sometimes, when the user turn off the pc with the program opened the CDX file was broken. Then the Primary Key doesn't function and I have not unique keys. In this case I can't use the REINDEX command because the CDX is broken, and I can't use the INDEX command because I can't create a PRIMARY KEY with this instruction. What can I do ? Now I work with the pc, and use the Validate Database and re-make all the index in a manual way. Can I make a rutine to repair a CDX broken which has a Primary Key ?
>Thanks.
First thing is to discuss the problem with the user's manager. If you are a consultant, tell them you can fix the problem at 3x your normal rate. There are things you can programatically do to minimize data corruption. Look at the KB article on my web site that discusses file corruption.
