Okay...we have a problem.

In a Vfox 5 program we are running on an NT 4.0 server.

In ONE specific part of the program only, and with no
apparent rhymne or reason, we the error "error reading file"

The user is in an accounting system, receiving payment.
The error does NOT occur on all receipts, nor does it
occur in any measured pattern. It will usually occur
within 20-60 minutes, however.

We have checked our code and even re-written some code.
We have tried it from other work stations, with the
same results.

Some feedback indicates that it could be a network card
(jabbering). If so, why only in this one section of
a massive system?

Any input would be helpful.
