>I need to access a .DBF file created in VFP5. I can do it using ADO/ODBC, but when I do it this way and package the program for deployment the program grows from 2 disks to 8 disks. Does anyone know of a different way to access a .DBF file that doens't make the final project so large?

You'll have to rely on 3rd party database engine.
Sequiter provide a real fast xBase compatible database engine.
