>I need to access a .DBF file created in VFP5. I can do it using ADO/ODBC, but when I do it this way and package the program for deployment the program grows from 2 disks to 8 disks. Does anyone know of a different way to access a .DBF file that doens't make the final project so large?

You can use a third party engine, but portability will be an issue in the long run. One of the more popular packages used in the past was CodeBase; it's fallen by the wayside in almost all cases, because of the ore ubiquitous access available through ODBC or OLEDB services.
