Now I would say that it is you who is speculating yet making it sound 'authoritative'!

I was *NOT* at DevCon *but* it came across loud and clear to me that the stuff demonstrated at DEVCON was not the whole ball of wax. It was also noted that there is still tons of time before the next release of VS, affording the VFP team much flexibility yet.

VFP going to "real Windows" (my terminology) objects is a most logical thing if, indeed, VFP is to "play nice" with the other VS components.
And, personally, I don't see the famous VFP 'engine speed' being implicated at all in this.

>Actually none of this is in current product plans. VFP7 focuses mostly on IDE improvements. Maybe VFP8 or so. These things seem to fit in with MS plans of thin-client and Terminal Server deployment. Current VFP screens cannot be transmitted by the T/S engine as efficient as other languages.
