Tables are not opened in DE. I'm referencing 6 to 10 tables on a shared network drive. When the network connection is lost the error # 13 occurs. I would think one should be able to trap the first occurrence of the error and then quit the EXE but it doesn't appear to be that simple. My error routine uses the following:

CLOSE DATA
ON SHUTDOWN
CLEAR EVENTS
CANCEL
QUIT

The CANCEL helped but I believe the problem originates with the form.object.controlsource(s) still referencing tables that are no longer visible. True or false?
