I have been having an on-going problem using timers on NT server. Until about a month ago, I was running an application on NT 3.51 with Winframe. It seemed as though the timers would only work periodically. I couldn't figure out what the problem was.


We upgraded our server to NT 4.0 last month and I had hoped that the timers would operate better on the different operating system. Unfortunately, they aren't working at all.

I have my application set up to accept an 'earliest start' time to determine the time in which the program should run. If I set this time to be for 7:00PM at 3:00PM, it runs. It's getting inside the timer function because that where the programs are called, but it seems to just accept any time at all.


Somebody in here told me where to find a more reliable timer. I would like to know if anyone has ran into similar problems and any suggestions on a different timer as well.
