Sorry to hear the client reacted like that for you! Based on
what we found your prediction about the application they switched to should turn out to be true. It turns out our client started to experience
intermittent failures in an Access application as well. Both the VFP and Access
applications use the network in a way that would expose a problem with the network. A user copying an occasional .doc, .xls from local to server or server to local might experience an occasional problem but so infrequently that it is not reported as a problem. We havn't heard the full story yet, but
our client finally called in the network guys and we just recieved an apology for things said in haste a few weeks ago. If it looks like a network problem, and fails like a network problem, then it is probably . . .
