I tried out the global temp table situation, i could create a remote view from the temp table but as that remote table can be assessed by all users it creates a problem. i tried (technique from foxpro) creating a variable using the sys(3) function to see if i could create a global temp table that way,sql server did not like the syntax i was wondering if you have tried this, the syntax i tried was
sqlexec(mycon,"select * into #(mytempname) from client").
I figuered out the sql does not like the brackets is there a way to do this?
