You first need to set up a profile in windows messaging.
In Lotus Notes Help See (I've got version 4.6)
MAPI Service Providers then
Set up a new MAPI profile that uses the Notes MAPI Service Providers.

Once you've done this you should be able to use any of the MAPI examples that are in the files section.
