You'll have to create a printer that uses the Fax printer driver to format the output graphically to a file; the print driver for something other than a fax in all probability will not share the graphical structure of a fax. WinFax knows that to do with an ASCII text file or a graphic file in any of several standard formats, but doesn't have a clue about how to interpret output meant to be sent to an inkjet or laser rinter, with a different number of dots per inch and different methods of representing data...

I've found that where I have to fax a report with formatting, it's easier to output to RTF (Rich Text Format) and then attach the resulting file, letting Word collaborate with WinFax on generating the output. Unfortunately, the way I would normally create the output (using Word's Automation interface) doesn't use the Report Writer, so it isn't of much help here.

As I recall, there are fax printer drivers that can create binary fax-ready file formats, but I'm not sure where to send you to find them. You could use the WinFax driver for this in all probability.
