although this works, and so does f4, I sometimes have some misbehvior when I use it. Very strange...

sometimes when I open up the list with alt downarrow, I can then navigate the list with the usual navigation keys...uparrow,downarrow,pageup,pagedown,etc.

but sometimes after entering altdownarrow, the list opens up, but as soon as I hit any of the navigation keys, the list immediatly closes. I've experimented around, but cannot determine what gets the combo into this state. When it is, I can still use the mouse to select a list element or run the slider.

Very strange.
