The biggest difference between VP and Pro is the much more elaborate inventory control module in Pro. Also, VP, even the new VP 10 (VFP 6.0 system) is 100% procedural code--not even a visual form! Pro 5.0 is about half visual, and the other half the old gnarly SBT procedural code.

If VP will do the job, then it's a contender. Especially the VP 10, which at least lets you use VFP 6.0 for your programming activities. If you need to make more extensive modification to screens, or you need a more robust inventory system, Pro is the way to go.
