I've gotten RDS to work on my home computer using PWS and a VFP middle tier component and a VFP backend. I'm not 100% sold on RDS though. Gonna check out XML as a data transfer mechanism too before I make any decsions on what I'm gonna use in an upcoming project.

Sounds like you cannot make a connection to your Server. How are you connecting, SQLEXEC() or ADO? Have you gotten it to work on your development manchine?
