My example shows how to bind the control to a field value (CNAME in my example), but have the CNAME + CDESC displayed in the combo box. Is that what you want to do? That's what I understand. What the combo box displays when the list is not dropped is the first column of the list when it is dropped. I use bound controls generally, BTW. Is yours bound or not bound to a field?
I spent some time (in 3.0) trying to display something other than the columns in the cbo, and I decided it wasn't worth the effort. To do that, I overlay a textbox on a cbo and toggle visibility of them depending on whether the "control" has focus.
HTH.
P.S. If I am incorrect, please be patient with me < s> and provide a little more precise description of the behavior you are looking for.
:)
>Whant I want to be able to do (in VFP 3.0) is to get more than one value appearing inside a combobox after I click on a value in the combobox.
