Title:
Strange Problem with file access
Hi. One of my client's has the wierdest problem. They are running my 2.6 Windows app on Terminal Server. Previously they had about five concurrent users on Terminal Server and my app without problems. They recently added another five concurrent users and when they try to get into the more advanced features they get an error about an alias not found. The screen(s) in question are large and nested. The first screen calls another major screen from a button. In the setup snippet of the program called, it checks the number of open database files and if there are more than 50, closes them and reopens the ones it needs. This screen displays fine. If the user presses ADD to add a new record, it tries to use one of the datafiles which it obviously opened (otherwise there would be an error prior to displaying the screen), and gets alias not found.
The Terminal Server is a PII 450 with 200MB RAM, and the esl is patched for fast machines. The client used to run this screen without Terminal Server, so this is probably the first time they have tried this operation since moving completely to Terminal Server sessions. The data and program and esl and config.fpw all are resident on the Terminal Server machine. The config.fpw has :
MEMLIMIT= 70 ,1536, 12000
MVCOUNT=1024
I've never seen this before and don't know where to begin.
All you clever techies, please HELLLPPP
HELP
TIA
Sandi.
