>After minor modifications to my current project in VFP 5.0a, (I added a logical field to one table, and created a button to run mailing labels based on the logical field) I started having problems. When I attempt a build on VFP hangs and I get the not responding box. I've validated the database with the recover option with no errors, reindexed all data files, opened all reports, forms, and label files with no visible signs of error. I've deleted the .DCX file. I can rebuild other projects, this one just started going away. Any clues appreciated.

Hi Ken:

Sounds like you have been working on the DBC, and maybe the problem is in the PJX itself.

Have you tried the PROJECT Menu pulldown for 'Cleanup Project - F5' ? You might try, FILE->SAVE AS with a different project name, then rebuild that one. This has the effect of clearing out all compiled code stored in the OBJECT field in the PJX, which forces a Compile All on the next build. You could also just check that box for Compile All. If all else fails, you could save a backup of the existing project, open it up as a table and replace all OBJECT with "", then close it, open the project and build it. Other than that, all I can suggest is to just start over with a new project file from scratch...
