We are using both -- remote views and SPT. We are using remote views to populate detail screens to simplify updating records. Therefore, we are only pulling a single record for each remote view. Otherwise, we use SPT. I haven't really done any testing, it just seemed slower populating the first grid with a SPT query. The grid noticeably goes blank then fills.

Before sharing the connection, I had 7 connections open -- 1 for each view and 1 for all SPT. It is now done to 1 connection. I just want to make sure we are heading in the right direction.
