Hey John,
No argument about that. In my case, I had stuff scattered among three different versions of FoxPro, and things weren't always on the Fox path or easy to find. (OK, I plead guilty to being a hard disk slob< g >.) This technique saved me a good deal of time.
Personally, I think that the message that the memo file is missing or invalid is partially bogus. If it was, I don't think you (metaporhically speaking) could even open the Project Manager, let alone begin a compile.
