I am running a Select distinct fieldname from table command and have set deleted on. The result acts as if set deleted is set to off and is picking up my deleted records. After adding a tag index for deleted() to the table I am selecting from, the result acts appropriately. I've tried this on two different computers in the office. In VFP6 it works correctly, or at least as I expect it to. Has anyone else ever experienced this problem in VFP5?

Yes, I've seen this problem in vfp5 before I started using NOFILTER everywhere. Deleted records were showing up in filtered result sets in grids, just as you say...either adding Deleted() tag or using NOFILTER solved it, depending on which one (or both) the situation calls for...
