While there is definately a need, most integrated accounting systems provide this functionality. You should examine what is out there, with respect to accounting solutions and payroll solutions, and see if you are trying to duplicate a process which is contained in a larger solution. I suspect most small businesses prefer the all in one solution....

PS I assume you hold the rights to your design, as unless you specified your rights, they would belong to your employer, assuming you were employed and not contracted....
