What kind of problems did you have. I use the autofill all the time a combo is called for. I can't recall if I modified it or not, but I could always go back and take a look. For me it does just what I need. Allow for an experienced data entry person to key the first couple letters of the code, then [tab] to the next field. For a not too experienced person, they can click on the combo arrow to make their selection.
