Hi Guys -

I have been successful in the past by just placing the runtime files in a common directory on a network file server. Of course this also contains the VFP application. It was a pain figuring out which files needed to be placed in the common directory, but it made rollout to several workstations much easier, since only a shortcut needed to be added to their desktop, instead of running an installation program as you mention.

Furthermore, with this approach, it allows me develop new apps with VFP6 and retain older apps in VFP5 in their own seperate directory until they need to be upgraded.

Mike
