Yep. I have 3.01 installed right now. I just opened up a PDF sent along with my HP CD-Writer. Under the Tools menu there's a Select Text option. I can select text, copy, and then open and paste it in Word. It even get's across the font difference.

It's going to depend a bit on how the pdf was generated, of course. If the source was a scan, then, no, it's just an image, so no text can be selected.
