Basically, the others already said the important things.
I've also read your other messages in this thread and I don't think we should make this discussion any longer. I want to add only that I know programmers who can write exceptional code without using the debugger. But I can also find bugs in their code when I use the debugger against their code. I have to admit that often these bugs are not important (ie: probably the users will never complain about them). I can also write almost perfect code without using a debugger. But the time I need to do it is much longer than when I use a debugger.

>I'm still working in VFP5. The vast majority of the kinds of bugs I get, the debugger basically blows up spectacularly and I have to kill the debugger/VFP through the NT task manager. An excellent example was my recent thread "SQL: Statement Too Long for no apparent reason". SET STEP ON just before what turned out to be the offending code (MSKB problem, in fact) didn't help at all.
