>I have an application to install on a network. I've read some of the info on UT about this & have a question. I used the setup wizard to create install disks. I can install the application from them onto the local drive. My question is - can I install the application on each work station from these disks & then install the exe & dbc, dbf, cdx on the network drive & have the shortcut point to the network drive & then delete the exe & data from the work station?

What I usually do is to install in one workstation directly to the network drive.
Then in the other workstations just install to local drive and then delete the local directory and modify the shortcuts.
You have to beware of one thing: When you're producing the disks, any ActiveX or DLL that you use, must be installed to the WinSys dir and not Appdir. This way you can delete the Local Appdir without deleting the ActveX and DLL.
