You are seeing the result of inheritance. The instance of your class that is in the form does not have any code in it, the code is in the class definition. The behavior of the calss is inherited by the instance, not the code. If the class works, you don't really care what the code is. If the class doesn't work then you need to stop working on the form and fix the class so it works.
