486 is too slow for much of anything now. Most agency apps won't even run on one here, though my vfp apps would probably run, very slowly. Even p90 or 100 is too slow for most apps. We've obsoleted anything below 200/32 RAM, and soon that will increase to 300/64. You know you can purchase decent quality 400s for less then a $1000. It's time to upgrade, I'd say...if you're willing to settle for 300 to 350s, they're extremely cheap now...
