I re-wrote a VFP5 app into VFP6 with some modifications. I need to convert one VFP5 table. The size of one field has been lengthened. The field names and type are the same. I thought I could open the VFP6 empty table & say append from \directory name\filename and get all the records added. It tells me index violation. I looked at the file. There is no duplication of records. The primary key field is the one that is bigger. Does that matter?
