>I have an application to install on a network. I've read some of the info on UT about this & have a question. I used the setup wizard to create install disks. I can install the application from them onto the local drive. My question is - can I install the application on each work station from these disks & then install the exe & dbc, dbf, cdx on the network drive & have the shortcut point to the network drive & then delete the exe & data from the work station?

Yes - or build two installs; one that places the files needed on the network drive without the VFP Runtime and components needed on each individual station, and a second one that contains the runtime, and ActiveX components that you need, and a post-setup exeutable that is used to create the shortcut. Install the network instlal once, and then instal the local install on each PC.
